I came here to bring bad luck.

Got Okami in the mail today from gamefly. I really enjoy the Japanese atmosphere of the game. I think it really adds to the feel of the game. Plus I like when games knowing they can't make great realistic graphics try something different. The graphics remind me a lot of Japanese woodblock art. Also, playing a main character that is not a human is an interesting change. Basically you play as the reborn wolf god who has to save Nippon from the evil monsters that have been re-released into the world. I can tell why they ported this game to the Wii because the paint brush would have been a bitch on the PS2. So far I am still bad at controlling the Wii in general so I am not very good at this game. The learning curve seems fast though so I should get it down soon. Either way this is the first RPG game I have been excited about all year so hopefully it doesn't disappoint. We also got Zelda in the mail yesterday too but it looks a little too frustrating for me to attempt at the moment.

So I started watching Black Cat today. I wanted to finish EVA first but the end is so trippy and depressing that I think I am just going to save it for later. Aside from it being a little cheesy and a bit obvious with the name choices, ie: the bad guy in this episode was called Lib Tyrant and the hero's last name is Heartnett. I think it shows some good promise. The main character, assassin number 13, The Black Cat, reminds me a lot of Squall from Final Fantasy Eight, so that in itself will most likely keep me watching the show. I don't really know the plot too much, but I like the waitress character and the guy with the eye patch. Hopefully they appear more in the show. It's only 23 episodes I think, so that is nice. I should be able to finish it quickly. Anyways since I don't really know the plot I can't post much but it definitely shows promise. It reminds me a bit of Bebop.

Now onto my life.
Thats the latest picture of my soon to be baby cat. I can't have her until the first or second week of June but thats getting closer and closer each day! And I know everyone loves seeing pictures of my cats because I make everyone look at them all the time. Anyways...

After an impromptu visit to STL I have returned. While I was incredibly frustrated the entire time due to lack of sleep, food, and having to be wearing my going out dress from the night before I feel the trip was a success. The boy bought his car and I wouldn't have been able to sign all of the loan papers by fax so being in person was a plus. And his parents got to see me around, even though I looked hideous and was very crabby. I guess it doesn't help that I find them to be incredibly stupid so its taxing to be around them and not correct them constantly. But I was, surprisingly, a good girl. However, the trip basically meant that I lost my job at Ruby Tuesday because I didn't show up to my second shift in a row. I feel bad about the way I left, but I feel like I needed to get out of that job. Not because it was necessarily difficult, but it just made me so angry. And I was tired all the time. I am going to miss the people I met working there though, I hope I can still hang out with some of them even though most of them don't have facebook and I don't have that many numbers. Oh well, what's done is done. Plus the trip basically made me broke. I have no money and without a second job its going to be hard to get the thousand that i need by June. I don't know if I can handle two jobs period because it was really making me crazy but Mcnallys isn't really giving me enough shifts so we will see. The boy just bought me Mario Kart. So I will have to give impressions on that later. Plus I think we might go see Narnia tonight! FINALLY!
Oh and my parents so nicely informed me that I am going to NJ in July even if it causes schedule problems because they already bought the tickets. Bah.
